Happy Friday! 

I figured my weight would be about the same this morning after I saw the amount of sodium I had yesterday. I also didn't have my usual water intake for whatever reason and my calories where way low. I'm ok with it as I felt great all day and at no point did I feel hungry. Today I will make sure to get those corrected and I may see a more accurate scale number in the morning. I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend filled with good workouts and clean eating. The Super Bowl will not deter my nutrition, period.

Another day in the books and feeling ok about it. For me my calories are fine especially with no cardio last night. I got into another good game with my daughter and had a good time. Tonight however I will be back at the cardio. My diet still needs to be cleaned up some and I'm thinking the start of a new month right around the corner is a good time for that. My scale weight was up a half pound from yesterday and perfectly normal for me.

Last night I decided instead of doing cardio, I hung out with my daughter playing Mario on the WiiU we got her for Christmas, we had a good time. My weight is down another pound and that's a total of 12 pounds for January so far. My sleep is still not consistent so it might be time to start taking a Benadryl before bed to knock me out. All in all things are moving along and I'm feeling good. Time to get back to work.

Well the 200s are here for my weight even if it's just a half a pound.  I'm feeling good but I know the next ten pounds coming off is going to feel even better. I really pushed myself last night on the on the Elliptical and it felt great, I know it's just the Elliptical machine but raising the intensity was the goal. 

I've been debating a lot over the last few days whether or not I want to even start running again. My goal was a full marathon that I never reached and it's always been in the back of my mind. Hmm....still need to figure out if that's the direction I want to go or not. Time will tell. Have a great day.

Well back to the grind happy Monday!

It's a nice quiet morning for once here at work and I'm enjoying it. Today will be filled with clean eating and a good cardio session. I finally feel great to really be dialed in....finally. My wife made brownies and muffins this weekend and I didn't touch a single one of either. My diet can still be tightened up some as I'm still eating too much sodium and I also need more veggies but that will come as I continue to adjust.

Wednesday is my rest day from cardio and I enjoyed that time with my family. Got on the scale this morning and I'm down another pound and getting close to busting into the 2's so that's keeping me motivated. Also I'm starting to really clean up my diet and today will be a lot less sodium and a lot less sugar. I'm eating 6 meals a day and here is today's breakdown...

My calories were a little light yesterday but I'm really not that concerned about it. I felt great all day and I had plenty of energy and felt great during my cardio. Sleeping on the other hand is not going well thanks to my upstairs neighbors, it may get ugly soon. 

I was able to increase my water intake and decrease my sodium yesterday and the scale weight showed that. Now, time to buy a good set of noise cancellation headphones and I'll fix my sleep issues.

My weight is fluctuating a bit and for me that's pretty normal. I'm down 6 pounds total and I'm betting by February 1, I will be 10 or more down. It would be great, small goal, to see under 300 by Feb. first. I'm still not getting enough sleep and I also didn't get any cardio over the weekend which I had planned but failed to go, is what it is. It's time to clean up the nutrition a little more and hit it hard for the next two weeks. Have a great day.

Journey Back to Healthy Living - Backwards from 40

That's right I'm back in the game, well, not running yet but I'm back to fitness!  Took me long enough but no matter I'm three days in and the weight is coming off.

That's right, weight is coming off because I bloated up like a whale AGAIN!  So this is basically starting over for me....
