Running?? Did I say Running??

Oh my, no running yet! I've been a big old slacker for sure. I have a 5 day class that I'm teaching starting tomorrow that has required a large amount of preparation. My eating has been ok but still not optimal. Man, I need to get my act together big time!

Hopefully I will have some fitness to record in here sooner rather then later! I'm getting way too fat and unhealthy! Just wanted to give a quick update, I'm still back.....just taking me longer then I expected to get rolling with the miles!

No running yet...

The week went pretty well but I still have not hit the road! This weekend we got alot of rain and I spent the time studying for some up coming classes I have to teach. I have another class tomorrow but plan to get that 2 miles in tomorrow evening. If its still raining I will hit the gym and jump on the "dreadmill"!

I've spent way too much time not working out the past 5 months and I've paid for it with the weight gain. Eating way too much food will do that. I'm looking forward to getting my feet under me again and feeling good about my running. I really want to get that 26.2 goal I've had finished! I'm going to make this a very slow process, don't need any injuries along the way. I've gotten all my sugary treats out of the way now and its time to start eating better, something I always struggle with. I'm really out of shape but I know the process won't take too long, just a few months of dedication will see huge improvements. I'm looking forward to the challenges!

A good day...

Today was a good day. I didn't get out for my run today but that's ok, the running will come. I forgot I had a class to attend tonight and also tomorrow night which chewed up most of my evening. I have a couple of classes coming up that require quite a bit of preperation to teach so my mind has been on that.

I do need to get myself into a schedule the best I can and make the workouts as part of my routine like I have in the past. You would think it would be easy since I'm running my own business now but its actually harder. With my full time job I had a more consistent schedule from day to day then I do now. Also, when I'm teaching I don't have time for any workouts during the day, it's either early morning or evening. I will get those details worked out for sure.

Well time to hit the sack and hopefully tomorrow will bring 2 miles, cool my first 2 miles in quite some time. Have a great Wednesday morning!

Fighting This Cold

Man, I've been trying to fight off this virus/cold for the past week. I decided to give myself another night before getting out there and running again. Gracie had it worse then I do but she seems to be doing ok today.

So, tomorrow I was thinking I'm going to go down to the gym and get in some lifting and then tomorrow evening hit the road for a short know maybe 50 feet or so! lol kidding of course. I was thinking about 2 miles, a good starting point. Time to dust off the Garmin, hope it still works, and hit the pavement for what I expect to be a difficult run! My last 3 mile run I had was sometime early last year and right around an 8:16 gonna happen tomorrow night, it will be more like 13:00 pace but that's ok! I'm excited about getting back to it nice and easy one step at a time.

New Start...

Wow, talk about a break from the blogworld! I've been MIA for quite some time. My fitness....

well pretty much non existent, my running to be more specific....well, non existent. Lets just say that 2008 pretty much sucked and so far 2009 has not been fun. However, I'm not going to sit around and sulk anymore. I'm fat and out of shape and I need to get myself healthy again. I'm not going to sit here and create some elaborate fitness plan of attack. I'm just going to keep it simple...(KISS) Keep It Simple Stupid! I'm going to get my big rear end in the gym, make better food choices, and eat less of those choices. The reality is, I need to lose weight and keep it off for good.

I still have not found full time employment but my business has been keeping us paying the bills the best we can so far. It has been difficult for sure but all I can do is continue to move forward and either my business is going to take off or full time work will come my way. Well, I'm going to make every effort to update my blog here on a daily basis, even if its just to vent about something that happened during the day. I also will document my workouts and hopefully that will give me some accountability to get my chunky butt in the gym!

The Running Man is back and hopefully will be reporting on some running soon!
