In Transition...

So much to do before I leave on Saturday morning for Alabama.

The house looks like it threw up clothes everywhere. I'm in the process of going through all my work stuff, tons of books some of which will be staying. I still need to change the oil in my car and give it a good wash. The garage needs to be cleaned out and the yard work completed before I leave. Oh yeah, I need to pack a weeks worth of stuff as well. Time is already flying on by!

Monday May 4th is my first day of work and I can't wait, should be fun! I will be getting back to the workouts and recording them here! Time to get my butt back in shape!

It's Official....

I just accepted a job offer in Huntsville, Alabama and I'm wasting no time as I start on May 4th! I am a bit overwhelmed with all of this at the moment but what an amazing offer I received. I feel so blessed right now. I accepted the position of Senior Technical Trainer for a large Technology company based in Hunstville. I get to do what I love and that is teaching technology, how awesome is that!

Initially Ashli and Gracie will stay here in Greenville but with the summer coming they will be able to come to Hunstville to visit. It's not going to be easy but we will get through it and things will work out. With just over a week and half before I start there's alot to do before I leave. I feel so blessed to be able to get a job doing what I love to do....just amazing.

Time to get to work on my running too, dang! :)

Life May Be Changing...

Well, here I go again with inconsistent updates on my blog. My running still continues to be nonexistent, lots of challenging stuff going on these days.

Those that have followed my blog for awhile know I was laid off from my job back at the end of July last year. In August I started my company doing computer training and while it has kept our head above water it has been a challenge. As of March my business has slowed to a crawl and made life very difficult. I've continued to apply for jobs all this time but just could not get a hit, that is until a few weeks ago.

About 3 weeks ago I had my first phone interview with this company and then a full on sit down interview a week later and now today I have another phone interview. I can't say enough about how awesome the folks are at this particular company, so nice and so easy to get along with. This job is right up my alley and would allow me to continue to do what I do best, and that's teaching. All the arrows are pointing in that direction so far so we will see what happens. One caveat.....the job is in another state, which would mean big changes to the way Ashli and I run our lives, not that we can't do it just going to be a challenge initially; however, we’re ready for that challenge.

Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for us, we need this one and oh yeah like I've said before the fitness, the running......its coming baby!
