Happy Monday...
Good Morning.
Successful business travel felt great. I left early Wednesday morning at 290 pounds and came back late Friday night at 289. My nutrition wasn't perfect but it could have been a lot worse.

Awesome Monday...

Good morning. Last night I didn't get over to the gym until about 8:30 and instead of doing a long workout I went just 40 min and upped my tempo. I kept a much faster pace than normal and man did it feel fantastic. I will be back tonight and then I will take my rest day on Wednesday. If I recall my last rest day was last Monday which after tonight gives me 8 straight days of cardio, loving it!
So, here comes the challenge. Tomorrow morning I'm off on my business trip for three days and this is going to test me more than ever. I'm taking a coworker with me and he is also watching his food intake which helps a little. For me it will be smart food decisions, no alcohol, and at least one visit on Thursday night to the hotel fitness center. I must burn some calories while I'm there and I must stay away from the drinks that will be flowing. I used to travel all over the world and man it is so challenging with nutrition. The reason I feel good this time is I'm in a much better place mentally and feeling extremely motivated to keep this train moving along.

Anyway, workouts are really feeling great and although my nutrition still has room for improvement I'm feeling pretty good. With 17 pounds lost, never to be found again, I'm starting to just now feel the looseness in my clothes and I'm diggin' it.
I do have a business trip coming up this week from Wed-Fri and I will not let this derail my progress. I will be eating clean and my hotel does have a fitness center which I will be visiting at least once. Time to get back to work.

Looks like we only got about 5 inches or so, sure is beautiful out this morning. The sun is shining and the snow is just shimmering off the trees. I wanted to get some basic body weight exercises in last night but I was exhausted playing in the snow with my daughter, lots of fun. I'm hoping the roads will be fine this evening to head to the gym for a long cardio session and I'm excited about it. Time to enjoy the morning and try and get a little work done.

Good morning. We are expecting 4-8 inches of snow today so I will be working from home again. We had about an inch of snow and ice yesterday and I worked from home most of the afternoon. Well, it's going to be a busy day seems like the last several days I've been fighting a lot of fires at work, just the way it is sometimes.

Low Calorie Day...

Yeah how about under a thousand for calories in a day, not good. It was a weird day, work was crazy one call after another. I ate every couple of hours but the meals were way too small. The funny thing is I felt great all day and even last night I did not feel hungry, crazy. I think having a day like yesterday every now and then isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you don't have consistent days with those numbers and you'll be fine.
We got just over an inch of ice and snow last night and the roads here in northern Alabama are a mess. People just don't know how to drive in it down here and most should never leave their driveway. Needless to say it was an interesting drive into work this morning.

I had an early meeting this morning so I didn't get as much sleep as I have been getting. My calories were a bit low yesterday but again I feel pretty good so I'll go with how I feel for now. My scale weight is up a pound from yesterday but I was a bit high in sodium as well so probably not accurate and I'm not worried about it anyway.

I'm pretty sure last night was the best workout I've had in a long time, it felt fantastic! It felt great to just MOVE! My calories were much better today as well so things are improving. In a couple of weeks I will be traveling for work and I'm really going to put a plan in place to limit the damage. I used to travel quite a bit all over the world and it's always a challenge to stay on track. This will be a short 3 day trip but I plan to stay on point and make smart decisions about food. The hotel does have a fitness center and I will be in it at least once.
